Web Mail eller via klient, hvis klient hvilken.?

min mail blev oprettet i Esbjerg IT-Net kaldet Esenet, distribueret af TDC, som senere overtog nettet, og derefter hed udbyderen YouSee. På min gamle PC havde jeg den også som Web Mail, det har jeg ikke mere. Problemet, som er opstået for nylig er, at jeg kan fint modtage mail, men jeg kan ikke sende mail.

Hvordan er det nu, at man kontrollerer det ? der var engang et program hvor man kunne se om mail var opsat korrekt, har du en link dertil ? mvh Verner

Nej, da det skulle ændres, inden 31/12/23 blev den ændret automatisk, det var kun på klient det skulle gøres manuelt.

Hej igen, Jeg kan ikke finde ud af det med at kontrollere udgående post, er der hjælp at hente ?

Jeg kan heller ikke sende mails.

Har prøvet at pinge asmtp.yousee.dk og asmtp.mail.dk, men der kommer ikke svar.

Jeg er lidt usikker på om man normalt kan pinge de servere, men det skulle jeg mene at man kan. Jeg har prøvet at pinge andre smtp servere og de svarer pænt. Jeg får også svar fra imap.yousee.dk.

 

Så enten er serverne nede eller der går noget galt i ruten til dem. Uanset, tænker jeg det er noget YouSee enten kigger på eller skal kigge på. Det er ikke noget der kan fikses på egen computer.

@hottempoJeg kan heller ikke pinge (icmp) asmtp.mail.dk, men jeg kan godt sende mails fra den.

Nogle gange skyldes det, at man benytter en ip, der optræder i et spamregister.

 

Man kan teste med et program, som pinger med TCP. F.eks. psping fra Microsoft:

psping asmtp.mail.dk:465

Hvis der ikke kommer svar tilbage her, så er der noget galt.

Jeg har prøvet ovenstående, uden held, og jeg kan stadig kun modtage mail. Det er underlig, for der har aldrig tidligere været noget i vejen med at sende mail fra min YouSee mail. Skal jeg oprette en YouSee Webmail, kan den køre sideordnet ?  Jeg kan ikke åbne linket ovenfor “psping osv” jeg ved heller ikke hvordan man pinger ?

Kontakt Teknisk Support, de kan ret sikkert se om der er problemer med din Web Mail.

Hello,

I am a previous Telia customer. I have installed YouSee Fiber, set up the router and internet is working fine. However, I do not use yousee webmail. I have a hosting service and use my own email via Apple Mail. I can receive email. When I had Telia, the outgoing smtp server was set to smtp.telia.dk and everything was good. Now I have tried to change the outgoing mail server and cannot send email when I try to use asmtp.yousee.dk or asmtp.mail.dk … yousee customer service did not help.

Is there an alternate smtp server I can use that is not associated or dedicated to yousee mail?

Hi @Dlglobal1 

Have you checked if you can send emails from our webmail at mail.yousee.dk? If so, it’s something with the settings in the mail app on your iPhone, which we cannot help with - or there’s something else blocking. 

I can see that you’re on wifi - if the settings are correct in the app, you can try  and test if the same issue occurs on 4G/5G. We’ve had some customers who couldn’t send while on wifi - they didn’t have YouSee internet though. I don’t know if you do?

Sending a mail from yousee web mail works because that’s web mail and can be used in a browser.

I am not using webmail normally.

I have tried to send a mail both without WiFi enabled and that does not work. 

I am using yousee internet (fiber)

I can receive email. I cannot send email using the yousee asmtp servers.

When I change my WiFi back to Telia and use the Telia server, everything works.

Hi again 

According to our settings you need to have your e-mail address and your password typed in under “outgoing mail server” - as seen here: iOS

Under “authentication” you need to choose “password” if possible.

this does not work.

I have tried to use a yousee mail address and password. This also does not work.

Are the asmtp.mail.dk and .yousee.dk dedicated for use by yousee mail only?

Can you provide an standard smtp server name I can use?

Oh sp you’re not using a YouSee e-mail address? If that’s the case we cannot help, unfortunately. Then you might have to use other info, and not ours, yes, I don’t know what that info might be, as it’s bit outside of what we offer support for, but someone on this Forum might know. 

How do I reach a technical support representative? Not customer service, but a technician please?

If it’s not a problem that have to do with You See, and it seems not to be, you won’t get any help, as Louise also confirms. Support is only for issues regarding You See.

As for mail.dk and yousee.dk they are their Domains.

Where is that Mail hosted.? I have a You See Mail,  it’s only an extra adress, my main Mail is a G Mail and there is no problem using it no matter where i use it, as with any other Mail. So your David@ Mail must Work, unless it in some way are inactive.

It’s not inactive as when I switch back to the Telia network everything works fine. I suspect YouSee has blocked the port for some unknown reason….TDC/yousee have this issue before.

I don’t know the ports Telia are using or if they are blocked by You See or not, have never had any issues with G mail, whatever it is on Coax, Fiber or DSL, neither on travels to another Country using the Phone as a Hotspot, i never use open Connections on Hotels as the often are or other places.

Try using your phone as a Hotspot or send from it, does it then work with your mailadress.?
